Wow EDH games are long...

So Helen Phil and Dyfrig are atleast 5 hours into an EDH game, possibly more, I've lost count and all faith xD

Wish my deck was complete enough to play. It wasn't even complete enough to warrant proxy's.

Ah well..it's been interesting, plenty of politics, plenty of lies and betrayal.. Not enough wraths xD

yea EDH games can go very long. 3 and 4 player games tend to be fine, but when you get to the 5 player games it can take a while. But my games typically involved a lot more powerful decks than you guys will have for a while.

As you work your way into the format the games will get shorter and the decks will get better.

I played EDH in Cardiff, 2HG.. Stephen and Nathan vs me and Iain..

It was Nin the Pain Artist (Stephen) and Omnath (Nathan) Vs Saffi Eriksotter (Iain) and Ghost Council (Me)

My opening hand consisted of some land, sol ring, and 2 parts of a 3 part infinte combo :D

T3, played 1 part of the combo - looks very sweet and innocent on its own.. ;)

managed to draw a vampiric tutor on turn 4 for the last part of the combo, played that at end of their turn 4 to get it..

turn 5 win..(even with Stephen and Nathan blowing up some of my land and my sol ring)

so EDH can be quick at times - depending on your draws.. but yeah.. can go on and on with fun politics..

thats why its a great format...people can either gang up to get 1 player out (like archmage format) or go it alone, or keep someone else in the game so that they then go up against the person who just attacked them..


I generally play a small amount of politics, just so that no-one dies very quickly..no-one wants to sit there after playing 10 minutes of a game and die just to watch everybody else play for another 4 hours :D

He killed us through political intrigue. I was about to blow up his stuff and didn't cause he made a sad cutsey face. Moral of the story is, Neil is a wicked man lol

Hahahaha, the number of times i've done that in casual games!

I'm really looking forward to completing my EDH deckm going to be fun.

In all honesty, Iain and I were dead next turn cos my deck didnt want to give me any mana, and the stuff it did - you blew up Nath...

that is the only time I have gotten that combo out..

still, it was worth it to see your faces, knowing you couldnt do anything about it...mwahahahahahahaha
